Arts Award is a range of unique qualifications that support anyone up to 25 years grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through a variety of arts disciplines.


We are a registered centre for Arts Award. This means that our team of highly experienced music and arts leaders can enable participants to work towards a qualification as they progress through their creative development. We can offer

  • Offer delivery of complete Arts Awards, including assessment and moderation.
  • Provide activities which will support existing delivery of Arts Award

We deliver and support Arts Award, through two main channels:

  • Bespoke workshops, and projects for schools, youth clubs and other organisations and services
  • as part of our current and ongoing projects

 We offer creative music projects tailored to cover the entire delivery of Arts Award from Discover to Gold levels.

To achieve Discover, children and young people discover the arts around them, find out about artists and their work and share their experiences with others, gaining a certificate at the end. Arts Award Discover will usually take about 20 hours to complete
This award is accredited as an Entry Level 3 qualification. It is the perfect stepping stone from our introductory award, Arts Award Discover, to the Level 1 qualification, Bronze Arts Award. Arts Award Explore will usually take about 25 hours to complete.
To achieve Bronze, a Level 1 national qualification, young people take part in an arts activity they enjoy, go to an arts event, research their arts inspiration and share their skills with others.oung people need to plan their work with an adviser, and keep a record by creating their own Arts Award portfolio. Bronze will take around 40 hours to complete.
Silver Arts Award, a Level 2 qualification, has two units – Unit 1: arts practice and Unit 2: arts leadership. Doing Silver involves achieving an arts challenge, reviewing arts events, researching artists and arts organisations, and delivering an arts leadership project with other people. Silver has been designed for young people aged 14 to 25 and should take young people around 60 hours to complete their Silver award.
Gold Arts Award is the highest level at Level 3 and develops young people’s creativity, communication, planning, teamwork and leadership skills. It has two units – Unit 1: personal arts development and Unit 2: arts projects leadership and is also recognised on the UCAS Tariff (35 points). Designed for young people aged 16 to 25 working with an adviser and independently, Gold should take approx 90 hours to complete.
